an organic, classic late edwardian era design, but likely made slightly later, circa 1940s
it's a wonderful balance of classic shapes and organic form culminating in a starry night vibe that's both elegant and edgy and accented by white gold. it's had many adventures and it's carrying those scars into its future as an ode it its history — read condition section below
the slightly rosy yellow gold is marked 14k, but acid tests slightly lower karat (~12k) — likely not sneaky, but an honest mismatch between the alloy the jeweler though they were working with and what the true karat was

this ring has had some lifetimes and has the scars to prove it:
-many of the diamonds have damage, but they're the original diamonds and it seems a shame to swap them out with newer stones that won't match the cut/color of the rest of the cluster's sparkle — it's tricky to notice the damage of the diamonds unless you're examining it carefully, otherwise they look at first glance like rough/rose cuts
-significant wear to the engraved details on the shoulers
-a previous sizing that has a noticeable sizing area and seam
-the great mystery is why the underside of the setting is so. scratched. up. who knows!
-softening to the white gold setting's details and edges
